Artist and Youtuber Joseph Herscher presents hilariously clever Rube Goldberg devices for accomplishing regular tasks on his website and Youtube channel titled Joseph's Machines. He's a masterful engineer and has an incredibly wry sense of humor. Since the pandemic started, he has added some helpful videos for social distancing, including a particularly involved method for passing a pepper shaker during dinner. One of our all time favorites among his videos is the "Power Tool Dinner Party." Viewable here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPrRCVZFttg
Other recent popular constructions include "The Sibling Distracter" and "The Santa Catcher." Here's his website with many more wonderful machines:
Joseph made his first Rube Goldberg-style machine at the age of 5 when he created a lolly (candy) delivery device. Can you make a machine like he does?
